Subject: Ada Workflow
Vicky:
Having run the proposed workflow and work distribution past the Ada staff, they are not happy. It also appears that the proposal is going to be for a very short time as a result of recent and anticipated staffing issues in Ada. In fact, it appears that there will be a year or two of continuous adjustments/changes to Ada work assignments, I.e., trainees are trainees, and will at some point be assuming new/additional work duties, and Journeyman CR's, hopefully, will be seeing some relief in current workloads.
Therefore, the Union wishes to negotiate over the impact and implementation of your decision to create new work units/assignments/workflow in the Ada FO.
In order to avoid the constant bargaining of these changing workloads/workflow and work assignments, the union proposes the following:
Employees will bid on work assignments based on Service Comp Dates. In the event of insufficient volunteers, inverse
SCD will be used.
The Union reserves the right to submit additional proposals during the bargaining.
I will be the Union's chief negotiator. Ralph Dejuliis will be the other Union negotiator.
The Union requests an extension of the timeframes contained in Article 4, Section 5. Please have travel orders cut for Mr.. Dejuliis and myself.
