The following information is requested.
1. Copies of all studies completed by Modesto District Management including but not limited to Bob Harrington, Cal Central Management, Region 9 management Central Office management which indicates the type of attire that is “acceptable in similar work in the community and is suitable to the work environment” and copies of all studies by the same parties that relate to the type of attire that is acceptable in similar work in the community and is suitable to the work environment for individuals seeking promotions to higher level positions.
UNION’S PARTICULARIZED NEED: This information will assist AFGE in determining whether the message Modesto ADM Bob Harrington gave to employees about dress required to get promoted in the District as well as the prohibition on jeans and tennis shoes is in line with section l.6 of the annual Personnel Reminders which deal with “Dressing Appropriately” and whether or not the standards he articulated in his formal meeting announcements were themselves appropriate or not.

I look forward to your response. I consider this issue of such paramount importance that I am eating my lunch while typing it.
